'People are afraid' - the reasons 'unstoppable force' Arsenal are the team to beat.

The proof is unmistakable why Arsenal stand as numerous fans' preferred choice to claim the Premier League during this term.

Look at their results against Fulham and Crystal Palace in contrast with those equivalent matches last season.

The Gunners have overcome all of them in the current season, but surrendered 10 points across those games as they fell away in the title race last season.

Defensive Prowess

Arsenal's backline resilience is a key reason why they are looking well positioned to at last realize their title ambition.

They lead the league for shutouts (6), goals conceded (3), shots faced (72), quality opportunities against (19) and xGA (5.3).

The central defensive pairing of Gabriel and William Saliba is arguably the strongest in the league, with Arsenal keeping a clean sheet in six of their first nine games.

Set-Piece Expertise

Their threat from set-pieces is well known, but competing clubs still find it difficult to neutralize the Gunners from these opportunities.

They have notched 11 times from set-pieces in the league, two more than any other side, with 69% of their goals coming from these situations.

"Arsenal can perform multiple roles now. The whole team has a fear factor. People are just fearful of them and it is wonderful to see."

Title Potential

What is especially notable about Arsenal's start to the campaign is they have also encountered Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United at opposition grounds and Manchester City in their own stadium - and are still leading by four at the top.

While they maintain victories, their traditional rivals are struggling. This marks the initial occasion at this point of the season since 1992 that none of Manchester City and United, Liverpool or Chelsea are in the Premier League top four.

The pressure was on head coach Mikel Arteta at the beginning, having allocated around £250m on eight summer acquisitions in quest of that long-awaited first title since 2004.

But the investment has so far paid off in impressive fashion, with his side one of the most prolific attacks in the league and boasting the strongest defense, despite numerous injuries.

  • Clean sheets in three consecutive Premier League games
  • Nearly 6.5 hours without conceding a goal
  • Only three goals in 12 games across every tournament

Former players and analysts have labeled Arteta's men as a "powerhouse, looking hard to stop" with the whole club now operating with conviction and purpose.
