Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
